Our
5 Support Workers visit families in their own homes by request.
This service is paid for by the fundraising efforts of our volunteer
fundraising branches, fundraising events, donations and the money
raised in our charity shops and receives no government/statutory
funding.
The team advise on practical issues such as Special Educational
Needs & liasing with schools and LEA's, support groups and resources
in the local area, help with practicalities such a form-filling,
funding applications and generally provide support and a listening
ear. They are involved with the family for as long as the client
wants: for a single episode of help on the phone to a long relationship
built over several years.
